2 Paleo Chinese Dinner Menus – Family Style Meals
If you’ve ever been to a Chinese restaurant, then you’ve probably come across the term “family-style.” It’s ordering a bunch of different dishes and then sharing them during the meal (without dividing the dishes before the meal begins).
For example, here’s a meal Jeremy and I shared with my aunt at a restaurant in Haikou, Hainan, China last month (it featured roasted duck, a duck soup, a white potato dish, and a green beans stir fry):
So, if you’d like to put together your own family style Chinese dinner at home, then you might like these 2 Paleo Chinese menus.

Each menu would generally be sufficient for a family of four (make each recipe so that it’s sufficient for 4 servings), but for larger families or events, you can combine the 2 menus. And of course, if there’s something you dislike in one menu, you can switch it out for something else!
Note: Many Chinese meals feature a soup, which some people like to enjoy at the end of the meal (but I often like to have it at the beginning or during the meal). Also, some of the dishes are not “traditional” Chinese dishes, but they have all been inspired by Chinese cuisine!
