- 1 liter bottle of vodka or other spirits
- 30 vanilla beans (can use more if you want)
- Pour out 1/3 of the vodka from the bottle.
- With a sharp knife, slice each vanilla bean lengthwise in half so that the black “caviar” is visible.
- Cut the long pieces into 2-inch long shorter pieces.
- Place the vanilla bean pieces into the vodka.
- Shake well.
- Leave in a dark cupboard for 2 months (or up to 4-5 months).
