Paleo Microwaved Sweet Potatoes Recipe – It Takes Just 10 Minutes!
Baked sweet potatoes are a really easy and delicious side dish to enjoy with your Paleo dinner. But baking sweet potatoes in the oven can take a while.
That’s why I started cooking sweet potatoes in the microwave instead. It takes just 10 minutes to prepare them this way.
Another quick way to cook sweet potatoes is in the pressure cooker (it takes around 20 minutes).
Paleo Microwaved Sweet Potatoes Recipe – Instructions
Use a small knife to poke some holes into each sweet potato. Place the sweet potatoes in a large microwaveable bowl with around 1/4 cup of water at the bottom of the bowl. This method effectively steams the sweet potatoes.
Turn your microwave on high and microwave for 3 minutes at a time. Check on how soft the sweet potatoes are and make sure there’s still water left in the bowl. Keep microwaving until the sweet potatoes are soft. This usually takes around 6 to 10 minutes.
You can load some Paleo curried chicken salad onto your sweet potato for a quick lunch or enjoy smothered with some ghee for an easy snack.
