This broth is so versatile! If you didn’t want to have the broth as a drink, you could use it as a base in another soup (in fact a lot of the soups in this list). Not only that, but making it means you get a tasty succulent chicken to use for other meals, or you can add some to the broth.

Homemade Thai Chicken Soup

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: whole chicken, lemongrass, fresh basil leaves, fresh ginger, lime, salt.

Similar to the chicken broth, this soup is made in the slow cooker, which is one of my favorite ways to make soup. It’s so easy to do that you can literally make a broth overnight with tasty results every time. All you need to do to personalize this recipe is add your favorite herbs or flavorings.

Paleo Chicken Noodle Soup

The base for this soup can be made using my first recipe then all you need to do is add tasty zucchini noodles, which you could spiralize or just shred using a peeler. Cilantro, onion and of course chicken, make this soup ultra tasty and perfect for fighting off a cold.

Chicken Feet Paleo Broth

– Paleo Flourish

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: chicken feet, ginger, carrots, onion, salt, pepper.

You may not think of chicken feet and think ‘flavor’ but you will be surprised if you try this recipe. As soon as you add herbs, spices and vegetables into the mix, you will get a really tasty broth which is the perfect base for many other soup recipes. You can normally get chicken feet really cheaply, so this recipe is worth a try.

Ingredients: chicken broth, salmon fillets, parsley, swiss chard or spinach or cavalo, Italian squash, garlic, lemon, salt, pepper, eggs.

Salmon is filled with flavor and this soup is one of the most flavorsome on my list. The addition of garlic adds another element to the taste and the Swiss chard is very unique. This is a great soup recipe for cold winter days when you just want to curl up and be warmed and nourished.

Celery Cilantro Salmon Stew

– Paleo Flourish

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: chicken broth, salmon filets, Italian squash, button mushrooms, celery, cilantro, salt, pepper.

As with the above recipe, you can use our homemade chicken broth recipe to create the soup base. This salmon stew is one of my favorite salmon recipes because I love the slight spice of the celery and the earthy taste of mushroom with this tasty fish.

Simple Paleo Coconut Seafood Soup

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: chicken stock, button mushrooms, kale, romaine lettuce, tilapia filets, shrimp/prawns, mussels, coconut cream, Red Boat fish sauce, salt.

Using coconut cream from the top of a refrigerated can of coconut milk, this soup is full of creamy flavor which complements the seafood so nicely. Another great soup to warm up with on a cold wintery day. There’s so much nutrition in this recipe, if you were feeling a little sick, this is sure to boost your immune system.

Coconut Lemongrass Shrimp Soup (Tom Kha Gai)

– Paleo Flourish

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: brown shrimp, coconut cream, chicken stock, button mushrooms, lemongrass stalk, ginger, Thai chili, fish sauce, lime, salt, cilantro.

This is not a soup for the faint-hearted, but if you like a spicy kick, this will be perfect for you. The chili in this recipe can be removed if you prefer (or added to!) and you can just enjoy a yummy creamy soup. Tom Kha Gai is traditionally made with chicken, so you could try that if shrimp isn’t your thing.

Vegetarian Paleo Soups

Paleo Carrot Apple Curry Soup

– Paleo Flourish (Guest Post)

Paleo Soup Recipes

Sweet Potato Carrot Apple Ginger Soup

– Paleo Flourish

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, ginger, chicken broth, salt, pepper.

Even though this recipe has similar ingredients to the above, the addition of sweet potato makes for a completely different flavor. Also, this recipe uses the chicken broth base rather than a vegetable base, so you get a more meaty undertone. Switch chicken for vegetable to keep it veggie!

Paleo Spaghetti Squash Soup with Apples

– Paleo Flourish

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: spaghetti squash, apple, chicken stock, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt.

Here I tried using spaghetti squash in a completely different way and added it to soup. Squash spaghetti is a great alternative to pasta so can be used to add a minestrone texture. The fall spices make this a lovely warming soup for cold weather.

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: onion, chicken broth or bone broth butternut squash, coconut oil, salt, nutmeg, pepper.

Don’t you think butternut squash makes for amazing soup when it’s blended? This simple but scrummy recipe is the best soup to dive into after a long day at work – so comforting. Change up the flavor and make it veggie-friendly by adding a base of vegetable broth.

– Seasonal and Savoury

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: celery root, leeks, organic, pastured bacon, water, ground white pepper.

Celery root may not be something you see in soups very often, but it is a rather underrated vegetable. The combination here with leek and bacon just enhances the flavor even further. This easy recipe can be changed to a Vegan recipe by simply removing the bacon.

Other Paleo Soups

Thai Tom Saap Pork Ribs Soup

– Paleo Flourish

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: pork spare ribs, red shallots, lemongrass, galangal or ginger water, kaffir lime leaves or cilantro, lime, fish sauce, salt, chilis, green onions.

Another traditional Thai recipe on my Paleo soup recipe list is this amazing Tom Saap pork ribs delight. At first thought, pork ribs might not be something you associate with soup, but you must give this a try. Make it as spicy as you can handle by decreasing or increasing the amount of chili you use!

Chinese Meatball Soup

– Paleo Flourish

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: ground meat, parsley, garlic, thyme, salt, black pepper, egg, cilantro, fresh ginger, chicken broth or bone broth.

This is such a simple recipe to make and you can make use of any spare meat you might have from previous meals. Enjoy this as a starter to a Chinese dinner, or have it as an easy lunch.

Anytime Spring Soup with Poached Egg

– Paleo Flourish

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: eggs, chicken broth, romaine lettuce, salt.

With very limited ingredients, you can make this yummy soup. It’s a pretty light meal so is really well suited to spring and summer when the need for comfort food has subsided and it also makes a great lunch any time of year.

Cauliflower Leek and Bacon Soup

– Paleo Flourish

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: cauliflower, chicken broth or vegetable broth leek, bacon, salt, pepper.

This is a great alternative to potato and leek soup as you get the same sort of consistency from cauliflower. Simple chop up your leek and cauliflower and pop into a big pan with the broth base of your choice. Bacon adds a nice saltiness to this soup, but you can leave it out if you prefer!

Simple Egg Drop Soup

– Paleo Flourish

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: bone broth, swiss chard or spinach, eggs, coconut aminos, ginger, ground oregano, salt, pepper.

This recipe is the answer if you have endured a lot of bone broth drinking and just can’t take any more. Simply drop the whisked egg into the soup as it boils and stir! You’ll definitely want to make this again once you’ve tried it once.

Ingredients: cauliflower florets, ham stock or chicken broth, water, garlic powder, onion powder, ham, apple cider vinegar, fresh thyme leaves, ghee or coconut oil, kosher salt, ground black pepper.

A bit of ham in soup could not be more delicious, so adding your leftover ham into this cauliflower soup seems very, very logical. If you’re looking to shed some excess weight, this low-calorie soup is a super option for you.

Pizza Soup

– My Heart Beets

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: oil, hot Italian sausage, onion, pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, tomatoes, broth, Italian seasoning, dried oregano, crushed red pepper, garlic powder.

Yes… I know… pizza! Ashley from My Heart Beets has managed to harness the flavor of pizza in her amazing soup recipe. If you love a good meat feast, then you have to try this out. Of course, one ingredient is missing, cheese, which makes this recipe Paleo-friendly, but if you do include cheese in your diet, pop a bit of grated mozzarella on the top.

Easy Shoyu Ramen

– Slim Palate

Paleo Soup Recipes

Ingredients: chicken stock/broth, garlic, ginger, shallots, avocado oil, mirin, zoodles, eggs, green onion or scallions, chili oil, rehydrated shiitake mushrooms.

I couldn’t create a soup list without including a ramen dish. This tasty noodle soup is sure to be a winner with the whole family. Of course, zoodles are used in place of any grain noodles, because we are keeping it Paleo, of course!
