Ingredients
- 1 can of diced tomatoes (400 g)
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano (1 g)
- 1 pc. star anise
- 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar (8 ml)
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Pour the tomatoes into a pan. Add a can of water, the oregano, and the star anise to the pan.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over very low heat for 1 hour. Remove from heat and stir in vinegar.
- Remove the star anise. Season salt and pepper to taste. Allow to cool.
- Blend the mixture to a smooth sauce in a food processor or blender.
- Store in a sealed container in the fridge for no more than 4 days.
