According to Wikipedia, it’s similar to a T-Bone steak, but not from a cow, of course! There are a few different types of pork chops depending on which part of the shoulder area it’s from, but no matter which one you get, it’s bound to be delicious.

Although it’s known to go great with barbecue sauce, I know from the following recipes—and my own experience—that fruity sauces and marinades also lend a great flavor and make for a savory-sweet, heavenly combination.

I’ll stop going on about it though and let you see for yourself in this list of amazing Paleo pork chop recipes! Enjoy!

Top 10 Paleo Pork Chop Recipes

1. Sweet and Spicy Indian Pork Chops

Paleo Pork Chops from My Heart Beets
In Asia, flavors are intense but well-balanced: they really know how to strike the perfect mix of salty, sweet, spicy and bitter. These Indian-style porkchops have just such a marinade, which makes them perfect for when you’re in the mood for some Far East flavors. Follow the instructions for Amy’s amazing homemade meat masala and you’ll see that the fresher the spice mix, the more potent the flavors. This mix would be great for a ton of Indian-inspired recipes so make a big batch while you’re at it and you can enjoy the same hint of curry whenever the mood strikes! 2. Apricot Spice Glazed Pork Chops

Paleo Pork Chops from Beauty and the Foodie
Here’s another pork chop recipe with a great flavor balancing act from Stacey, who makes me wish for apricot season with this awesome spicy apricot marinade. There’s something about spicy fruity that suits pork chops so well, and Stacey really uses that to her advantage with this sweet and salty, mustard-infused sauce. She doesn’t mention it here but I personally would use half the sauce to marinade the pork chops for an hour or two before following the rest of her recipe. 3. Paleo Chai Spiced Fruit Pork Chops

Paleo Pork Chops from PaleOMG
The name sounds a little strange to me, but when I think more about mixing chai spices and fruit with pork chops, my mouth starts to water. Dried figs and raisins are the perfect sweet-boosting complement for such a meaty dish. Chai spice from a teabag is simmered with honey for one amazing marinade that first caramelizes before soaking into the pork. This dish, with its warm compote, makes a perfect winter or evening meal. 4. Orange Molasses Pork Chops with Skillet Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Paleo Pork Chops from What I Gather
This relatively short recipe only takes 15 minutes to prepare, and considering the taste to effort ratio, it’s really worth trying! The blackstrap molasses and orange pair perfectly with the herbal hints of basil, topped justly with cinnamon, garlic powder and allspice seasoning mix! It’s a flavor explosion that goes amazing with a side of sweet potatoes, also infused with the same delicious flavor combo. (Photo permission: Tarah from What I Gather.)

5. Pork Chops with Chunky Sweet Curried Sauce

Paleo Pork Chops from PaleOMG
Here’s a pork chop recipe with a Thai twist, blending curry powder, coconut milk, and a mix of intense eastern spices to marinate the pork. Apples, red onion, and garlic make a moist sauce with the perfect texture. If you like curry, this one’s for you. It’s as easy as marinating and baking your pork chops while preparing your sauce. This is a quick recipe so it’s good if you’re short on time and wanting to eat something delicious on a tired weeknight. (Photo credit: Juli of PaleOMG.)

6. Coffee-Chipotle Pork Chops

Paleo Pork Chops from Slim Palate
For those not so keen on the saucy-sweet pork chops here’s a more savory option, adapted by Josh from The Homesick Texan’s Family Table. This blend is black pepper, chipotle chili powder and a dark roasted coffee (!!!) to make a deep, rich and smokey influence that will surely remind you of a good Texas barbecue! This recipe only takes five minutes to prepare. You make the mix, let it marinate for half an hour, and then fry the chops in the skillet. Remember to let them rest after cooking so that they stay juicy to perfection! (Photo credit: Josh from Slim Palate.)

7. Chinese Five Spice Pork Chops

Paleo Pork Chops from JayBird Blog
This is the fastest recipe on the list and made to serve only two, so it’s perfect for a weeknight dinner at home with your significant other. The pork chops are sprinkled with tasty Chinese five-spice powder, and are given an extra kick with the help of some dried sage, and salt-and-pepper of course. They need two minutes pan frying on each side in coconut oil (or your other favorite Paleo-friendly oil). It is also recommended to get some broccoli or other veggies steaming while you’re at it. Voilá, porkchop dinner in no time! (Photo credit: Alicia who can now be find at Jaybird Blog.)

8. Grilled Pork Chops with Stone Fruit Slaw

Paleo Pork Chops from Zen Belly Blog
The chops part is straightforward here, but what really makes this recipe special is the stone fruit slaw. Simone fuses the sweet flavors of fruits like peaches, plums and apricots with spicy powder and lime juice for an amazing Asian-style accompaniment that is the perfect counterpart to savory and seasoned pork chops. 9. Pork Chops with Smoky Pear Puree

Paleo Pork Chops from Nourish Paleo Foods
The pear purée is the star of this pork chop recipe. First it’s grilled, peeled and then made into a beautiful purée with cinnamon and lemon juice. The pork is quickly grilled or oven-baked (making sure it reaches the optimum internal temperature) and then coated with the pear that is pre-mixed in a processor or hand blender. 10. Sweet Chili Pork Chops

This sweet chili pork chop recipe is a little bit more elaborate, but still great if you’re in a hurry. Cassy recommends Montreal steak seasoning, but any steaks seasoning will do. The sweet onion and mild peppers make for a soft flavor that is neither too sweet nor too savory, but you can always take the hotness level into your own hands by buying spicier peppers. These babies get pan-seared first before being oven-cooked for 20 minutes; they will have the perfect crunchiness outside while still maintaining the moistness on the inside!
