Sometimes drinking plain water gets just a bit too dull for me. So, I like to make various iced teas (herbal, green, and black) and non-tea drinks.
I have quite a stash of cucumbers in my fridge having fallen in love with the amazing simple cucumber salad (recipe here), and so I decided to add some more cucumbers into my diet. This time though, it would be drunk, not eaten.
Cucumber waters are typically served in spas (at least that’s where I see them most often), but I always find that the water barely has any cucumber flavor to it. I think they must just use the same few slices of cucumber and fill up the jug over and over again with water. That was not what I wanted to drink! I wanted to be able to really taste the cucumbers, so I sliced up a whole cucumber to ensure that there would be plenty of cucumber flavor.
I also added a bit of fresh lime juice to make the drink extra refreshing and thirst quenching!
Everything went into this handy iced tea container (it’s called a Muji Fridge Jug) my friend got me as a house warming present. It sits really easily in my crowded fridge as you can stand it up or lie it down. It also has a sealed lid so nothing spills!
