Stir-fried green beans is something we’ve been eating for a long time. When I was growing up, my mom would make this recipe with sugar in it, but now we make it without the sugar and it still tastes fantastic!

Make a large pot of it as it’s quite delicious!

  1. Place the avocado oil into a large pot and saute the onions.
  2. Add the green beans, the water, tamari soy sauce, and star anise into the pot and place a lid on the pot. Cook for 15 minutes on medium heat until the green beans are slightly tender.
  3. Remove the lid (and remove the star anise) and saute on high heat until no liquid is left.
  4. Add salt to taste if necessary.
