If you think garlic butter tastes good, then you’ll love garlic ghee too! This is a really simple and delicious way to cook fresh fish filets. I love it with cod, but you can use this recipe with other fish too, like haddock or tilapia.

Start by melting the ghee in a frying pan. If you’re not familiar with ghee and why you should be getting more of it in your diet, then read this article.

Then add in half the minced garlic.

Place the cod filets into the pan and sprinkle with salt and garlic powder on top. Cook on medium to high heat. You’ll see the bottom of the cod turn from translucent to solid white in color. Once that solid white color creeps half-way up the side of the cod filet, flip the filet and add in the rest of the garlic. Exact timing depends on how thick your fish is, but it generally takes around 2-4 minutes per side.

Add more salt if necessary and serve with some of the ghee and garlic from the pan.
