Tropical Hawaiian Salad with Honey Tamari Dressing – Step-by-step Instructions and Photos
Step 1:
Chop up your pack of ham into small chunks. If you’re wondering whether deli meat is considered Paleo, then check out this article here.
Step 2:
If you’re using frozen pineapple chunks, then defrost them first. If you’re using fresh pineapples, then chop them into small chunks.
Step 3:
The next ingredient is sliced almonds. You can use a different nut or seed if you prefer (pumpkin seeds also work well). This adds a bit of crunch to the dish.
Step 4:
Make the dressing by mixing together the tamari sauce, sesame oil (or use avocado oil if you don’t have sesame oil), white wine vinegar, garlic powder, raw honey and a bit of water.
Step 5:
Toss all the ingredients together with some chopped romaine lettuce or arrange them into boats and drizzle the dressing on top. Serve with additional dressing on the side.
