36 Paleo Easter Recipes You Should Make This Year

Louise | April 16

What’s Easter without special dinner recipes? Nothing, if you ask me – and to stick with a healthy way of eating, I’ve put together a collection of mouthwatering Paleo Easter recipes.

Some of us enjoy the traditional Easter dishes every year but, for some, the holidays are all about trying something new. It doesn’t really matter which group you belong to, because there’s something for everyone on this list.

A great dinner always starts with tasty appetizers. I like recipes that are either quick and easy to make, or something I can prepare ahead so that I can spend my time with the family (rather than sweating away in the kitchen!)

Deviled eggs are always a hit, but if you wish to try something a bit more exotic, I highly recommend the bacon wrapped dates that are stuffed with cashew cheese. They’re divine – and will surely give you something to talk about!

Homemade ham will always be one of my favorites, but this year I’m thinking of serving some grilled lamb chops, as well. If you’re not a fan of either of these, why not try some apple dijon pork chops?

Choose your favorite side dish to complement your entree – and let’s not forget the dessert! Keep it simple by making the Paleo blueberry crumble, or make some carrot cake cupcakes (with frosting!) for easier portion control…

Paleo Sweet Potato Pizza Toast Recipe

Louise | April 10

If you find yourself craving toast but you don’t feel like going through the extra work of whipping up a batch of Paleo-friendly bread, reach for this recipe for Paleo sweet potato pizza toast. This is a Paleo take on the perennial favorite, English muffin pizzas. This recipe comes together in two parts. First you slice the sweet potatoes to make your “toast.” Then you roast the sweet potato in the oven (or in the toaster over) to give it the warm center and crispy crust we all love. Once the “toast” is ready, it’s time for the toppings. Paleo pizza sauce and cashew cheese are easy toppings that pack a big punch of flavor in a small package. It’s pizza, it’s toast, and it’s all grain-free!

Paleo Red Velvet Smoothie Recipe

Louise | April 10

If you’re anything like me, when you’re trying to get out the door in the morning and you don’t feel like messing around with the stove, you reach for a smoothie. If you’re looking for a little something to spice up your smoothie routine, why not try this Paleo red velvet smoothie. This is not your grandma’s red velvet and you won’t find any refined sugars, artificial colors, or dairy in this smoothie. Instead, the red color comes from a natural source, raspberries. To add creaminess to this smoothie without any milk or cream, we’ve used coconut milk. Make sure you use full fat coconut milk to give the smoothie a rich taste and creamy texture. If you’re feeling indulgent, top it all off with a drizzle of coconut cream. Breakfast for two in ten minutes. Bon Appetit!

28 Paleo Chia Seed Recipes From Granola to Chocolate Cake

Louise | April 7

If you haven’t added chia seeds in your diet, yet, you’ve been missing out! Not only are they delicious in various recipes, but they’re also extremely nutritious.

Here are 6 good reasons to enjoy more chia seeds!

  1. Chia seeds contain plenty of fiber. They absorb plenty of liquid when soaked, which makes them gel-like. They can help you feel full for longer, which could possibly help if you’re trying to lose weight.
  2. Chia seeds are high in omega-3 fatty acids!
  3. Antioxidants – chia seeds are packed with them. They fight the production of free radicals and help your body fight aging.
  4. You’ll get various nutrients from chia seeds, for example iron, calcium and magnesium.
  5. The texture of soaked chia seeds makes them the perfect ingredient for puddings.
  6. Chia seeds are digested slowly, which means they can help keep your blood sugar levels stable.

To get your day started, we’ve added several breakfast recipes that include chia seeds; for example cereal, muffins and puddings.

But chia seeds are not just great for breakfast! Try the garlic chia crackers with your favorite dip or hummus, make a chocolate chia cake to celebrate a special occasion, or spread some delicious raspberry chia jam on your toast.

Paleo Chocolate Cups

Louise | March 21

Some days, you just need to eat some chocolate. Don’t worry, I’m not judging! These chocolate cups are made using an easy two-step process. First the coconut filling is made by combining coconut butter with coconut oil and coconut sugar. Then, the filling is chilled until solid, so it can be coated in chocolate. If this seems like a lot of steps between you and chocolate, don’t worry, there’s only ten minutes of hands on prep work. Most of the time is spent chilling so it’s easy to whip up the filling, and leave it to chill while you do the laundry or go to the food store.
