34 Paleo Carnivore Diet Meals You'll Want To Devour https://paleoflourish.com/paleo-carnivore-diet-recipes

Does a meat-only diet seem fascinating to you? If you love a good steak (and meats, in general) a carnivore diet may just be the tastiest diet you’ll ever try. However, at first, it may seem a bit difficult to cook meals that consist of only meats.

This collection includes all of my favorite meaty recipes – and you don’t need to be a chef to cook these!

They are perfect when you crave a hearty dinner or when you don’t happen to have fresh vegetables available. And even if you’re not on a carnivore diet, these will be a great addition to your Paleo meal plan. I guarantee your family is going to fall in love with these, too.

Choose Your Favorite Meat For Dinner (Or Try Something New)

If you love chicken, you may want to start with the bacon wrapped chicken bites, crispy Indian chicken drumsticks or the slow cooker jerk chicken.

Organ meats are a great choice when you’d like a budget-friendly dinner! Try the rosemary liver burgers or roasted bone marrow – they are sure to be a hit.

Don’t forget to include fish dishes in your meal plan; bacon-wrapped salmon or pan-fried tilapia will please even the most demanding taste buds. Or steam your own lobster! It’s a lot easier than you think.

Here are just a few of the Paleo Carnivore Diet Recipes we’ve included:

Recipes for a Carnivore Diet

Crispy Indian Chicken Drumsticks

– Paleo Flourish

Crispy Indian Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients: chicken drumsticks, salt, garam masala, coconut oil.

This is a quick and very easy recipe for really tasty Indian drumsticks, flavored with garam masala, which is a mix of spices traditional in Indian cuisine. These make a fantastic grill day dish on their own. Just remember to pat the meat dry before seasoning as this helps the chicken to be crispy once cooked.

Garlic Ghee Baked Chicken Breast Recipe [Paleo, AIP, Keto]

– Paleo Flourish

Garlic Ghee Baked Chicken Breast Recipe [Paleo, AIP, Keto]

Ingredients: chicken breast, garlic powder, ghee, garlic, sea salt.

Cooking meat like chicken in foil ensures the meat stays juicy and tender. It also helps the chicken to absorb the flavor of the garlic. The resulting chicken breast can be eaten hot or cold for any meal.

Marinated Grilled Flank Steak

– Paleo Flourish

Marinated Grilled Flank Steak

Ingredients: flank steak, coconut oil, coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, mustard, garlic, ginger, paprika, onion, salt, dried thyme, chili powder.

Using citrus in a marinade can help to tenderize the meat, allowing you to use cheaper cuts. It also allows the flavor of the herbs and seasoning to be absorbed by the meat so you know it will taste amazing. Simply place the steak on the grill until it is cooked to your taste and dig in!

Bifteck Hache (French Hamburgers) Recipe [Paleo, Keto]

– Paleo Flourish

Bifteck Hache (French Hamburgers) Recipe [Paleo, Keto]

Ingredients: ghee or coconut oil, onion (omit), ground beef, egg, fresh thyme leaves, salt, pepper, beef stock, parsley.

Not too sure about burgers without buns? Well, why not give these a try and you will realize how good they are. These paleo-friendly burgers have a fabulous sauce to serve with them and are packed with flavor, making them as good as the regular ones.

Grilled Chicken Drumsticks with Garlic Marinade

– Paleo Flourish

Grilled Chicken Drumsticks with Garlic Marinade

Ingredients: chicken drumsticks, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, sea salt, pepper.

There is something wonderful about tucking into a good drumstick straight from the grill and these ones are no exception! Garlic is the perfect partner to serve on chicken, giving them a slightly Asian taste and the drumsticks have a slight tanginess from the lemon. These taste great on their own and, even better, this recipe is suitable for the paleo and AIP diets.

Grilled Cumin Crusted Lamb Chops Recipe

– Paleo Flourish

Grilled Cumin Crusted Lamb Chops Recipe

Ingredients: racks of lamb, cumin powder, paprika, chili powder, salt.

Lamb chops make the perfect cut to grill for an outdoor meal as they have their own ‘handle’ to allow you to pick them up easily. The cumin helps to give these lovely chops a slightly Moroccan flavor, and the chili can be adjusted to suit your own palate. Taking very little time to prepare and cook, these would be a great idea for a summertime lunch and are great taste sensations for paleo people.

Garlic Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites Recipe (Paleo, AIP, Keto, Dairy-Free)

– Paleo Flourish

Ingredients: chicken breast, bacon, garlic powder or fresh garlic.

This delicious recipe is easy to prepare and you will be amazed at how many you can make from just one chicken breast! These also go down really well for kid’s parties or as a tasty treat on a summer picnic. You could even jazz it up even more by adding some ginger powder to the chicken coating.

Garlic Ghee Pan-Fried Cod Recipe

– Paleo Flourish

Garlic Ghee Pan-Fried Cod Recipe

Ingredients: cod filets, ghee, garlic, salt.

I found that this recipe was a great help when I started eating paleo and was missing having a coating on my fried fish. The garlic and ghee give the fish such a great flavor that you can enjoy it regularly. This is suitable for paleo and low carb eating plans, so next time you get the chance to buy some cod, you can turn it into a satisfying and flavorful meal.

Upscale Paleo – Steam Your Own Lobster

– Paleo Flourish

Upscale Paleo – Steam Your Own Lobster

Ingredients: lobster tails.

Now I know you are probably thinking you can’t afford lobster just to mess up on the cooking, but trust me – it’s actually quite easy to get it right! Lobster is a wonderful dish, full of vitamins and nutrients, so when you are having a celebration meal like Valentine’s or an anniversary, you can treat yourself to a paleo banquet without worrying about the end result.

– Paleo Flourish

Chicken and Bacon Sausages Recipe [Paleo, Keto, AIP]

Ingredients: chicken breasts or ground chicken, bacon, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper.

Chicken goes so well with bacon and these little Paleo patties look so good that you will want to make them again and again. The seasonings flavor these sausages absolutely deliciously and they will surely become a go-to.

How To Boil A Dungeness Crab

– Paleo Flourish

How To Boil A Dungeness Crab

Ingredients: dungeness crab.

Here is a step by step recipe that shows you how to cook your crab to get the best from the meat, which is a good source of vitamin B12, a handy supplement for people with blood problems who need a bit of a boost to their system. Crab is best cooked while it is alive, but if this is not acceptable to you, you can also buy frozen ones.

Pan-Fried Tilapia

– Paleo Flourish

Pan-Fried Tilapia

Ingredients: tilapia filets, salt, coconut oil.

Tilapia is now available in many countries and you will often find it in superstores. It is relatively cheap and is quite nutritious, and it makes a good alternative to cod. Pan frying fish is really simple as you can tell when it is cooked when the fish turns white. For a twist on the flavor, you can add a little garlic salt to the fish before cooking.

Paleo Baked Rosemary Salmon

– Paleo Flourish

Paleo Salmon Recipes

Ingredients: salmon fillets, fresh rosemary leaves, olive oil.

Rosemary is an herb often associated with lamb, but it works really well with salmon too. To remove the fronds of rosemary simply run the stems through your fingers, gripping quite firmly, and the fronds will fall off easily. Cooking the salmon in foil helps keep it moist and juicy and also saves on the washing up, although you can use baking parchment instead of foil for this Paleo salmon dish.

Pan-Fried Pork Tenderloin

– Paleo Flourish

Pan-Fried Pork Tenderloin

Ingredients: pork tenderloin, salt, pepper, coconut oil.

Here is a basic recipe that shows you how to cook tenderloin. For tender, juicy meat, make sure you don’t overcook it. Pork can be left a bit pink in the middle, just remember to rest the meat for a few minutes before serving. And once you’ve mastered this recipe, you can experiment with your own seasonings.

Spicy Paleo Dry Rub Ribs

– Paleo Flourish

Spicy Paleo Dry Rub Ribs

Ingredients: pork spare ribs, salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder.

If you are looking for an alternative to barbecue ribs, this great paleo recipe is definitely worth a try! Dry rubs infuse the ribs with so much flavor and they are less messy to eat than ones that have been coated in sauce, and because they are baked in the oven you don’t have to wait for grilling season to enjoy this tasty meal.

Slow Cooker Pork

– Paleo Flourish

Slow Cooker Pork

Ingredients: pork shoulder (or pork shoulder collar), salt, ginger powder, Szechuan peppercorns.

This spiced paleo-friendly pork is made in bulk so that you have loads of meat ready to eat throughout the week. If you want to freeze it, simply shred the pork and divide into portion-size containers. If you don’t have this spice mix you can experiment with other dry rub ingredients.

Slow Cooker Paleo Jerk Chicken

– Paleo Flourish

Slow Cooker Paleo Jerk Chicken

Ingredients: chicken drumsticks and wings, salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, thyme, white pepper, garlic powder, black pepper.

Jerk chicken is very common in Jamaican cuisine, but using a slow cooker makes it just as easy for you to try! The dry rub helps to seal in the flavors and keep the meat moist and juicy, even though you are cooking it for a longer time. Again, the flavor is enhanced if you use cuts like thighs or drumsticks which have been closest to the bones, and these can be sourced quite cheaply too. Perfectly Paleo!

Paleo Lemon Ghee Roast Chicken Recipe

– Paleo Flourish

There can be very few recipes better than this for feeding the family! Tasty and tangy chicken which can be eaten as it is, hot or cold, or as a leftovers lunch – the choice is yours! This paleo lemon chicken just works! Then after the meat has gone, boil up the bones and you have a great broth for drinking.

AIP Italian Burgers

– Healing Autoimmune

AIP Italian Burgers Recipe [Paleo, Keto]

Ingredients: ground beef, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder.

This is one of the simplest burger recipes out there and it is totally adaptable to any kind of eating plan. Sometimes simple is best – mix the meat and seasoning, form the patties and cook! A tasty, paleo meal which is ready in minutes! If the weather is not grilling-friendly, you can shallow fry these burgers indoors, but they make a lovely dish for a family barbecue!

AIP Bacon-Wrapped Salmon Recipe

– Healing Autoimmune

Paleo Bacon-Wrapped Salmon Recipe #paleo https://paleoflourish.com/paleo-bacon-wrapped-salmon-recipe

Ingredients: fillets of salmon, bacon, olive oil, tarragon, lemon wedges.

Even though this is a quick and easy recipe, it would be impressive enough to be served to guests at a dinner party or used as an alternative turkey for Thanksgiving or Christmas. This is a really low carb dish that is perfect for paleo people and makes a tasty meal any time. The bacon brings out the sweetness of the salmon and cuts through any fattiness in the fish.

3-Ingredient Crispy Keto Chicken Thighs Recipe

– Keto Summit

3-Ingredient Crispy Keto Chicken Thighs Recipe

Ingredients: chicken thighs, olive oil or avocado oil, salt.

As you know, most coatings for chicken involve some form of breadcrumbs, which are not paleo-friendly, so using this low carb recipe is perfect! It uses the skin on the thighs as a crispy coating to provide that crunchy outside we love.

Three Ingredient Keto Steak Sauté Recipe

– Keto Summit

Three Ingredient Keto Steak Sauté Recipe

Ingredients: beef ribeye steak, onion (omit), garlic, avocado oil.

With only three ingredients, this Keto sauté is perfect for anyone in a hurry. Ribeye steaks tend to have marbling and that gives them more flavor than leaner cuts, so they are great for this quick and easy meal.

Keto Steak au Poivre

– Keto Summit

Keto Steak au Poivre

Ingredients: filet mignon or similar steak, salt, peppercorns, thyme, garlic, ghee.

Steak is a great meat to treat yourself to every now and then. This is a simple Keto recipe but the crushed peppercorns add such a wonderful flavor to the meat that it is worth a try! Try not to overcook the steak as the flavor is best when the steak is medium rare.

Keto Lemon Chicken Recipe

– Keto Summit

Keto Lemon Chicken Recipe

Ingredients: olive oil, chicken thighs or drumsticks (with the skin on), thyme leaves, lemon juice, salt, ground black pepper, garlic, lemon.

These lovely Keto lemon chicken pieces are so tangy and delicious that you and the family will enjoy them over and over! And no need to wait till grill days because you can cook this recipe in the oven. The lemon gives just enough citrus to liven up the flavor of the chicken and these can be served warm or cold.

Keto Crockpot Shredded Chicken

– Keto Summit

Keto Crockpot Shredded Chicken

Ingredients: chicken breasts, chicken broth, garlic, onion (omit), salt, pepper, Italian seasoning.

Shredded chicken is such great base meat for any diet. This is a very handy recipe that gives you basic steps to let you make a batch of the meat you can either use right away or freeze for another day. You can also season the chicken however you’d like to change things up.

Organ Meats

Rosemary Liver Burgers

– Paleo Flourish

Rosemary Liver Burgers

Ingredients: grass-fed beef, ground liver, rosemary, chili pepper flakes, oregano, black pepper.

These quick and easy paleo burgers are packed full of goodness! If you find beef liver a bit too strong for you, then calf’s liver would work here too. One tip – make sure the burgers are thoroughly cooked. It’s worth it to cut one open to find out if you have to – raw liver is not a good surprise!

Paleo Roasted Bone Marrow Recipe

– Paleo Flourish

Bone marrow has been eaten for centuries and it even appears in Roman cookery. It is known for its health benefits and rich flavor and can be cooked very easily by roasting the bones in the oven. Ingredients: ground beef, chicken livers, sea salt, ground black pepper, coriander powder, poultry seasoning.

Adding liver to burgers is a great way to eat this nutritious meat and not even think about it. Chicken livers have a much milder flavor already, plus these burgers have the added benefit of the coriander to enrich the taste.

Grilled Beef Heart

– The Healthy Foodie

Ingredients: beef heart, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper to taste, ghee or lard or coconut oil.

We all know how healthy organ meats are, but sometimes we can be put off by the thought. So I really want you to try this simple heart recipe as the end result is amazing! Once you have trimmed the heart and soaked it overnight in balsamic vinegar, simply grill it for meat that actually tastes just like a good steak. This recipe is grain and gluten-free and both paleo and AIP-friendly.

Ingredients: ghee, beef heart, rosemary infused olive oil or plain olive oil, salt, pepper.

Beef heart is a fantastic source of nutrients. When you cook it as this recipe calls for, you have a piece of organ meat that actually tastes like a good steak. This recipe cooks the meat in just a few minutes, but if you have a problem with the blood taste, soak the meat overnight in apple cider vinegar.

– Grazed and Enthused

Hidden Liver Meatballs

Ingredients: ground pork, US Wellness Meats Liverwurst, pastured lard or bacon fat or duck fat or tallow.

This paleo recipe is ideal if you have a family of picky eaters or you want to hide some liver in your meal. Liverwurst already disguises some of the liver flavors, so even this recipe is sneaky and clever.

Herb Roasted Bone Marrow

– Empowered Sustenance

Ingredients: marrow bones from beef, fresh rosemary, fresh thyme, salt, black pepper.

If you have a local butcher, try asking them for marrow bones, as they will likely have them for pretty cheap. The bone pieces can then be roasted and served as an appetizer, or as a pick-me-up for someone who has been unwell. If you don’t like to eat it as is then you can try it on other meats.

BBQ Chicken Livers and Hearts

– The Nourished Caveman

Ingredients: chicken hearts, chicken livers, sea salt, black pepper.

We all know that offal should be included in our paleo diet. But not everyone gets a great introduction to them. That’s why we suggest starting with this recipe – the flavors of chicken offal are much gentler. The only drawback is that the livers can easily stick to the grill and fall apart, so be sure to place them in a foil tray on the grill.

Bacon-Wrapped Liver with Sage (Paleo, AIP)

– Flash Fiction Kitchen

Ingredients: bacon, chicken livers, fresh sage.

This recipe reminds us of the flavors of Christmas. The bacon and sage help to mask the flavor of the liver, but actually, chicken livers are quite mild already. If you would rather not have sage, you can use any other herb you like.
